living the life of a westie
I don't know why Baron doesn't pig out at dinner time like we do. He likes to eat slowly and wants to save some for later but either Fury or I usually eats it all up when he's not looking. So now he falls asleep guarding his bowl.
Not much to report about this week. It's been raining, so Mom never let us play in the pool, which I really don't understand because wet is wet, right?
Mom and Dad spent Saturday cleaning around the house, doing laundry, etc. Today Mom has been sitting in front of the computer and Dad has been in front of the TV. Me? I've just been chilling out with Fury all week-end. We caught some good bugs, maybe all the rain made them come out of the ground, I don't know, but we really didn't have to dig very deep. We kept bringing them inside to Mom but she didn't seem pleased. I really thought the matching set of Palmetto bugs that we both caught at the same time was sorta special and she yelled with delite when she stepped on one, barefoot, while it was upside down and kicking around. But then she grabbed a shoe and started pounding it. Fury grabbed the other and got it outside fast and we tossed it around for hours.
Mom says Fury looks like a luck-dragon. What's that?

I will admit, he's kinda cute, even though Mom messed up cutting the hair between his eyes because he wouldn't be still.
Here's a photo Mom took while we we're sleeping. Fury is hanging out in "the cave", which we love to play in. Mom seems to take a lot of photos while we sleep, something about the photos not being blurry. I'm fine with it. If I can sleep threw that bird squalking all day, I can sleep threw a camera flash.
So that basically sums up the week-end, with all of us staying inside. I just heard Dad say something to Mom about ordering a pizza... yum yum yum!
Today Dad ran up to Lowes and came back with something called a doggy door. Although I am thrilled with anything they say they have bought for us, I honestly don't see why we need to have our own door. We really don't mind walking in and out of the same door that they do! But Dad was complaining about the electric bill (whatever that is), and Mom was complaining about the flies so I guess they want to keep the door shut for some reason. Geesh!
Dad started to CUT A HOLE into the wall! If I had chewed a hole like that I would have been yelled at!
Fury got curious too but he stayed scared under a chair.

After a while the noise ended and Dad cleaned up all the mess he made. Mom made them sandwiches and then started to put little tid-bits inside the door. It was scary at first to have those flappy things hitting my head, but I wanted those treats! So I told myself that I just had to get over those fears and plunge forward. And I did it!
Later Fury needed to got outside to potty so he went to the back door, but it was shut.
Mom tried to get him to go threw the doggy door but nope, he just wasn't ready yet. Mom waited, but Fury really needed to go potty.
So Mom let him out the old way. After a while he was ready to come back in but Mom didn't open the door.
He keep looking in and scratching at the door and he looked pretty doggone hot.
Mom would stick her hand out the doggy door to get his attention and after quite a few attempts Fury FINALLY came all the way threw!

Mom got a shot of me in mid-air as I was jumping out to chase Fury!

Mom said we had to get out because the water got too dirty during our bath time. But then she refilled it for what she called, "the final rinse cycle" whatever that means. Here's some shots of me drying off:

And here's few shot of Fury chilling out under a chair:

You would think that all this splashing around would chase off the squirrels, but no!
Hello everyone! I'm Fiona and my partner here is Fury. I was born in November so I'm currently 6 months old. Fury was born in January, making him 4 months old. We live in Leland, NC, southwest of Wilmington.
This is our blog. Our furure posts will be about our lives with our humans, Patti and Scott. They got us from Patti's sister, Jody, who owns a pet shop called Jody's Pets in Morehead City, NC. Jody special ordered us from 2 different breeders, (both nice people that she thoroughly checked out... no puppymill puppies for her shop) and she ordered us just for Patti. Patti did a lot of research before chosing westies, and she knew in advance that we could be a handful! But she thought we would be worth it and I think she's pretty happy with her choices since she spoils us rotten!
I hope you come back often to see how were doing and to see what it's like being a westie. Fury and I will be posting things like photo's of us, along with educational Westie links that we find on the internet.
We hope you enjoy Westies Gone Wild!
